Our homes — Hygge Hut and Hygge Loft — are authentic century-old Bucovinian houses that were carefully dismantled, transported, and rebuilt piece by piece to preserve the soul of traditional village life.
Inspired by the Scandinavian concept of “hygge,” we created a place centered around warmth, comfort, nature, and meaningful moments. Our homes are beautifully restored traditional houses, full of character, warmth, and authentic Bucovinian charm. While we have carefully improved comfort and modern amenities, these are not luxury villas designed to feel brand new.
Many original elements have been preserved to maintain the soul and authenticity of the homes. Because of this, you may occasionally notice charming imperfections such as creaky wooden floors, rooms that are not fully soundproofed, or other rustic details that are part of the experience of staying in a historic home.

What started almost by accident soon became our family’s passion project in Bucovina — the place our souls never truly left, even after years of city life.
Over the past few years, we have carefully restored and rebuilt traditional Bucovinian homes using original materials, local craftsmen, and old building techniques passed down through generations. Piece by piece, old houses found new life again.
Today, Hygge Village is home to two restored houses, both more than 120 years old, while a third home — standing in the same place for nearly a century — is waiting for its own new chapter.
Our homes combine authentic Bucovinian charm with the comfort and simplicity we always dreamed of: cozy living spaces, handcrafted details, warm wooden interiors, modern amenities, and peaceful mornings at the edge of the forest.
